I just dropped my 1.7 to replace it with a complete FI 2.0. I decided to pull off the engine tin from the 2.0 so I could straighten it and powder coat it. Then I wondered if I should pull of the injectors and put new seals on and pull of the air tubes and powder coat and reseal and maybe I should replace the pushrod seals while it's out. I read the posts above this one and have decided that there is some disease associated with these engines and that once you start you almost need a 12 step program to STOP.
