This gear came from below the distributer, I assume its called a distributer gear, but cant find it listed on any of the parts websites. Is it supposed to have the notches in the gear that are at the top in this photo? (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/confused24.gif)

Yes. and there's supposed to be a washer on the end of it.. make sure you don't lose track of it. (if you pull out the gear while the engine is right side up it can fall off and end up somewhere inside the engine)
