So has anybody thought about using the exhaust header wrap stuff on the 914's humble heat exchangers to try and reduce heat in the engine compartment? Just curious if it would be worth it.

Peace,

You engine shouldn't overheat. If it is something is wrong. Fix the real problem.

(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/agree.gif) If you are having an overheat problem it's probably due to poor cooling of the motor. Sheilding the H/E's won't help much...

I was just wondering as I figured that they would improve the efficiency in which the heat exchangers were able to heat the air being pumped into the cabin rather than overheating.

You are right there but only do it on SS boxes. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wink.gif)
