We've had a few threads on this "scari" thing. I think it's safe to conclude that some admire the work he put into it but most take one look and (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/barf.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/laugh.gif) |

for that 914, i have a hard time believing that guy makes money by being a "designer" (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wacko.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/screwy.gif)
there has been a few even worse designs of his posted here before.... the "fake" ruf is ugly as well...it has "I bought an old wrecked 911 and threw this body kit on it" written all over it...I don't care how fast it is or supposed to be... There's more, but here are a few links for your perusal...
From the creator: 914.2.twee 914.2 There are more versions. If you Google for scari and porsche 914 you'll probably dig them up. The later ones look better than earlier, but I don't like the looks of any. Makes me think of taking some siding off a travel trailer and pop riveting it on along with some louvers cut off an eighties Camaro. Wish there was more info on the performance side of it - maybe that would be more encouraging. Previous threads here: thread 1 thread 2 thread 3 |

I think the yellow car is sick. I also like the camaro!
but the 914 posted is not a good body style... It contrasts completly different from each angle... as if its 3 different cars.... It does not flow very well... Round front bumper, FLAT rear end... wierd ass wheel wells, and a functional scoop... Lots of cool idea's, but unfortunately they dont mix well. It takes a boxy car, and makes it even more boxy...... Heres my take on some good kits..(IMG:http://obin_jess.tripod.com/GTP/914%20and%20962.jpg) Bontempi flares... some squared lines, but mostly a round flowing body. My car will look simular, w/ spoiler instead of wing, and all the other street stuff. Heres some other good ones.. http://www.americaninternationalracing.com...d=259246&page=7 |

for my personal taste like another member said (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/barf.gif) now show me a silver 914 with a 916 or gt kit on and youll have me hooked, even though its been done a thousand times. cant beat the classic lines of a 914. if i wanted curvy lines i would go with a 911.

That 914 is a total waste of time, fiberglass and a 914. Does that guy actually call himself a designer? I think I'd get fired for sketching something that bad.
