But, the orange plaid pattern does look correct, and I don't think too many people would go to the trouble of recovering a seat just to have plaid.

By the way, back in the seventies I test drove a red VW Scirroco that had the same type plaid seat fabric as the 914.

no jim. just another muti-tasking demension, in my 0$ compensation employment agreement. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/av-943.gif)

mike, the pass side bolsters are very clean. the dr side looks to have suffered the greatest wear. sort like the driver slid across the bolster instead of sitting down. prob someone rather short, the car was owned by a woman.

those look a bit different than the ones i have in my car. my seats are a brigher orange, but the fabric is in really poor condition. it wasn't great quality fabric to begin with. so... my guess would be that those seats have been recovered, especially if the vinyl is in worse condition than the fabric.
