Posted on the bird, got some info, but still not quite sure.

Do I need to remove the 10mm nut in the center of this picture, and adjust on the splines?

If so, don't I need to remove the other end, too?

What are you trying to accomplish.
There is a screw and lock nut behind and sotra under the back of the light housing.
This adjusts how much the light can pivot.

Caution you can really screw this up. Once you got it going to far in one direction then at least you know how to get back.

IS it not closing all the way? are all the little bushings in good shape. that will throw it off with no hope of getting it right.

Thanks!

My problem is when the headlights go down, they go down a bit too far.

Making it hard to get all the alignments (headlight, hood, blind, etc.) just right.
