I'm trying to figure out the correct wiring for my 73 in the tail lights. brake lights were working, but not running lights or signals. I screwed around
with the wires, and gor the running light working but now the brake lights don't work. I was looking at the wring diagram, and since I have no experience reading them, I only got more confused then when I started. Anyone have a wirinng diagram for idiots? something showing the color wire attached to the propper terminals? Also I was trying to find the location of the relay, anyone? help a lost bruther out? You're not an idiot - this happens to everyone - including me.
http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?act=...&t=27126&hl=&s= there's a diagram in the linked thread. Pretty sure all the light relays are on the top of the fuseboard. Hope this helps! |

Even more fun after PO painted the wires (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/screwy.gif)
Just takes 2 people, a voltage tester, and lots of patience in that case. |

LOL. There was another thread I found about how to do that - for the other fun case - the light box being miswired.... (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wacko.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wacko.gif) I could imagine a case where the wires were painted AND the lightbox was miswired.
