Yep. It's a nice find, looks like the Scheel version of the Recaro.
I hate Renegade seats, I mean despise. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) I bet you can use the rail kits whatyacallit has (KARL! LINK! RS seats) M |

QUOTE(kellzey @ Sep 8 2003, 03:10 PM) I can't decide which headache to choose.. I look there every few weeks to see if there are any new ones. The seats in the GTs (that were fitted with them, obviously) were the Recaros that the Scheels almost copy. There is a set for sale for $3,500.00, and shitty I hear... another $1.8k each, and hey.. MINTY! Go ahead Karl... I'll get the url warmed up for ya.. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) I wish these would fit http://www.nosubstitute.org/911e/interior/default.asp M |

These seats seem pretty reasonably priced if you don't mind putting in the effort to order overseas. The thread says about 700 EURO for the pair, thats only $776.93. Thats not bad compared to $2000 for the seats from vinatgeseats.com!!!

I stripped an 914 seat and i'll be adding more side support to it.
Here's a bare naked seat (you gotta flip your head!!!): Attached image(s) |

So in the second picture i traced a line where i'll be cutting the side of the seat (taking out the J shaped part). In the first pic, i'll slice the J shaped part where the black lines are keeping just enough material to keep it as one piece. I 'should' be able to form a new edge extending de side part. I'll glass them back to the back seat afterwards.
High density foam & recovering and I hope i'll have something that doesn't look to bad and give me plenty of support. I'm 6 feet tall and 210lbs. I'll try to make it not too tight!!! For now i'm working with cardboard forms to figure out what i want. Marc-André |

European Seat
I'm just posting the link so it's easier later in life to find. These are my favorite of the one's I've seen. At $775ish the price is pretty good, too. |
