What we are trying to figure out is the weight of the stock one as compared to the "Sachs" type partial aluminum pressure plate.

Anyone have a stock pressure plate lying around to weigh?

We think stock is about 9.2 pounds and the partial aluminum one about 6.0, but don't know.

Thanks.

I have a NOS 911S aluminum cooper faced pressure plate and it weights 6lbs.

I believe the stock steel weights closer to 12lbs.

Thanks for all the answers and directions to links.

All the people on this site are just great.

FYI I'm glad I checked as one of the big part suppliers is advertisting a Sachs "light weight" PP that weighs in at 9lbs plus, so it isn't as advertised.

Looks like I going to have to wait until Kennedy finish their new batch, which should be about 4 weeks.
