Over the last couple of winters I've slowly been bringing the tub of my '73 2L back to life. It was badly rusted to begin with and most of my efforts have been to expose and repair all of the rusted out spots.

Last winter I cut all of the rust out of the longs and then boxed them. I chose this method because I had already bought the Mayeur kit and it seemed easier. In hindsight, I might have bought repair pieces and totally replaced the rusted sections. But, its too late now.

I also cut out and repaired all of the rust in the hell hole and door frames as well as replacing the passenger side rear suspension mount.

This winter I installed the Mayeur kit, cut out and patched the rust areas in the door frames, firewall and front fender wells. I also focused on stripping the body and repairing rust damage on the body panels.

Before I put away the tools this year and break out the golf clubs, I want to do some bodywork and smooth out all of the imperfections you can see from the outside. I will then prime all exposed metal. I also need to finish patching the floor pans, but I want to strip the bottom of the car first to see if I have any trouble spots underneath.
