I'm switching to dual webbers and adding a Mallory Unilite distributor with cent. and vac. advance.
Anyone out there know how to get a vac. advance tap with this setup?
Thanks

The newer Webers have a port on the throttle body located on a level just below the throttle butterfly (in the closed position). If it is present there probably is a threaded plug in place that can be removed and replaced with a threaded tube fitting which allows a small rubber vaccuum hose to be slipped on and routed to the dizzy. Not all Webers have this port.

Oh, while you are at it change the cam as the car will run worse, have less hp, and MPG with the Webbers and stock cam.

Don't do it unless you want the car to run rotten, trust me I speak from past experience....Webers are not the magic bullet on this car......Fix the FI

Given what you intend to do, you have a very ironic username!

Agreed..... WELCOME to the club!!!!

I run dual Solex carbs...... and a huge cam... damn thing puts out 4 times the legal limit on an emissions test.... but if you can figure out how to get around that... I say go for it.

My first 914 had dual Dellortos...... they worked great as well

You dont need the vacuum advance.

Just get the correct distributor with the correct weights. (Aaron knows the model numbers)

No vacuum needed.

Welcome to the club.
