It's funny you mention a 59' Coupe with $45K invested. I remember seeing a real nice (driver, no rust) 59' coupe for sale at the swap meet in Palo Alto over 10+ years ago and it went for only $10K. Then again, I wish I had $32K in my pocket a few years back when I saw this silver 58' Speedster (nice older restoration) for sale at Hershey........coulda, shoulda, woulda......now gone forever! 356 prices are really insane now. They've jumped a lot in just the last few years. Certainly, they're now way out of my price range.

You ever pick up those British sports car magazines? Classic Cars is an example. There are always stories about someone who has found some barely recognizable pile of iron oxide and restores it to a pristine Humber Super Snipe or some such thing. Hey, at least the rope holding the door shut has not rotted in half yet.

Hey Sebastian,

Thanks for clearing up the mystery. I should have known a 356 guy like you would know about these things.

Tom
BTW
Sebastian is a real Porsche nut & owns an early 911 & 914 along with his 356. We got him to step over the (914) line a few years ago.
