i have an extra 150mph speedo and i want to reset it to zero for when my 2056 is finished.
I have taken it partially apart for cleaning, and have read most of the pelican article. do i just spin the odo back with a drill?! if not, how do i pull off the needle w/o breaking and how to reset the digits manually? will i have to recalibrate the speedo as the article suggests? thanks paul |

I'd spin it forward with a drill. But you should document the miles on the original odo when you replace it.

If apart pull the pin that holds the tumblers and turn them till all read ( 0 ) from front. If speedo is calibrated correctly now use a drill and spin it up to see where it registers (do this before odo work). Write speed down to check. (use fresh charged drill for this for accuracy) When odo is done put back together and check speedo.

There's a good tech article for this on the Pelican Parts site.

i didn't notice this when i took this apart, but the hole for the high-beam light doesn't line up correctly! the hole/tube lines up with a spot near the "MPH" text at the bottom, not the little lens at the top.
anyone have insight? Attached thumbnail(s) |
