WOW.

If someone would like to buy my 914-6 GT project car, let me know because the Cayman S is everything I hope my 914 will be when its done.

That was one great car.

Definately going to have to buy a used one in a couple years.

OMG.

I needed a smoke after I got done. (but I quit smoking 6 years ago)

It wasnt as powerful as my 2003 Mustang Cobra but it was WAY more fun than the last 911 I drove.

I will trade both the Mustang and the 914 for one if anyone wants to trade me, hell you can have my wife too. (if you include the sports seats in the Cayman).

I BELIEVE 100% what you say...I sat in one at the dealer - yellow -it looked awesome. But properly optioned they sticker at $72 LARGE. Ouch....I'll keep the teener six - with the money left over for track days. You are right though - all the reports rave about them...gotta love Pcars.

I agree as well with your feelings about the Cayman. I instructed last weekend at an AX and the technology and car itself is truly outstanding. If I could afford one, I would get one....and I don't particularly like the visual lines of the car.

But the damn thing was awesome on the AX course.

It will be fun to watch these things modified for track use in the coming years.

I was disappointed in the headroom. I am 6'4" and there is no way I would be able to wear a helmet in that car. However, the 997 C4S has OUTSTANDING legroom and gains 15 HP over my o4!

I almost got my breaststststs stuck under one at our local dealership. Joe and I went to check out the Lapis Blue Boxters on a sunny day to get a visual on what my paint will look like once it leaves the garage, and we showed up in scrubbies. No one would talk to us, which is fine. As soon as we saw tha Cayman on the floor, we immediately started opening decks, lifting up plastic to see what's under, and eventually ended up laying on the floor of the dealership. We were finally greeted when alls you could see was our legs, knees down! Trying to slide back out from under it, my breaststststs were hampering the removal of my person from the showroom floor!!! We got a good laugh out of that one!!!

I love the lines of the 997, and I reaaaaallllllyyy want one. I guess I'll just have to wait a few years. $70K is about $55K out of my price range!!!

I'll wait until for low mileage mint condtion Caymens to hit about $30-35K. It should only take about 4 years.

I saw 2 at the dealer this morning as well. I really like the Cayman's looks and specs but with 1 young kid and another potentially on the way this year, another 2-seater just is not gonna fly anytime soon. Even if I -could- afford it the 914 would have to go...and that ain't gonna happen.
