I have a chance to swap my rainshields and 3 1/2" K&N's for some 6" tall K&N's with Billet tops?

I haven't pulled the tape out yet to check it the 6" tall filters will fit. Seems like more surface area to me (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wink.gif)

Cheers (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/driving.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/driving.gif)

I don't think they will fit.

most people go to the ITG to get more surface area, since the top is also a filter on the ITG (although you can not run them in the rain anylonger)

If those are the ones with a nice machined aluminum top and K&N logo, I have them on my race car six and they clear the cover.

More surface area means more holes for the dirt to pass through. The Cap'n, the Anti-K&N.
