I'm trying to understand the RAT full flow system. If a case has been tapped and drilled for the remote filter, does this mean it bypasses the factory oil cooler?

With the setups I've seen, they tap into the remote oil filter housing with the front external cooler and it looks like the stock cooler isnt even used.

the full flow system taps into the large oil pressure relief piston just after the cooler? so no oil is being forced through the cooler? Does this sound right?
