How do I take this part off? Any tips, as it seems very frozen to the crank. Thanks, Steve

i looked at some of that thread and didn't find the following suggested method:
to remove the hub, the factory manual shows using a special tool that looks similar to a thin circular disc with a slot cut in it that fits under the hub. using the fan bolts, the bolts are threaded in the hub and then push on the tool to push the fan hub off the end of the crank. of course, you would have removed the bolt holding the hub on the end of the crank. instead of the special tool, you can get a piece of metal stock ~1" wide by 1/8 " thick by ~5" long (get 2 of these) to put under the hub and on top of the case at the seal and, similarily, use the fan bolts thru the hub to push the hub off the crank. |

Thanks everyone! Impeller hub popped right off after I got the correct gear puller from Autozone into the game. Steve
