I bought most of the parts from home deport for a custom intake. I got a a rubber adapter from the throttle body to 2" ID to a 90 deg to 2" ID straight pipe.

Do I try to find a filter with a 2" ID or step up the PVC right after the 90deg bend to 2.5 or 3" then go with a larger filter. Is the 2" straight pipe to the filter too restrictive? Will this step down from 3 -> 2 -> 50mm -> 45mm increase my air velocity or am i dreaming? The PVC bends and adapter are actually not too detrimental to air flow, i smoothed out whatever hard lips on the inside.

Thanks
