I am referring to the plug at the bottom of the intermediate plate that holds the stack of springs and balls for the shift forks.

I have noticed that a small droplet forms on it every day or so and I am thinking maybe a small bit of gasket sealer would do the trick.

The tranny is NOT due for an oil change so..... (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/confused24.gif)

I think I know the answer....

Yes, but it will be slow... won't come pouring out but you'lll want to act pretty quick. It should have a copper sealing washer.. did you try just tightening it a little more? It shouldn't NEED sealant.
