I have been having trouble locating a step stud of the proper lenght (stock). The PO for some reason drilled and tapped one of the studs to a 10 x 1.5 and used a 10 x 1.5 stud but it was near impossible to remove the heat exchange without cutting the nut.

Any way, does anyone know of a source for a step stud 10 x 1.5 to 8 x 1.25 at least 38 mm long from shoulder to tip? It would save me removing the head to get the hole filled and re-tapped.

Thanks,
Dan

In a pinch you could use Type I rocker arms studs.

You'd have to shorten the 10mm side's length, but it's easily
doable.......

COOL!

I was thinking of getting at least 4 to have in the tool box.
Never know when someone is gonna need one!

Almost called Becca to have her add it to my order, but she scares me....

Wasserboxer rocker studs work too, but also need shortening of the 10mm side.
