my 72 has early doors on it

now the windows wont respond to my turning the crank

they have the old style of window mechanism

anyone have any idea what to do w/o switching to late doors and having to repaint my car?

The old mechanism can be repaired. Alternatively, the new mechanism can be retrofitted to the older doors. There's a writeup of the latter procedure somewhere here. Try the Classic Threads section.

Let me know if you need any of the mechanism. I'll be taking mine out of the track car to sell.
