Anyone who had had a failure will tell you the hassles were worth 10 times the cost of my cam and lifters, the damage can be that much or MORE out of the pocket.

Hello, Jake - were you talking to me?

I've never had a cam failure...

(IMG:http://www.qtm.net/~persot/webcam/Worn%20Cam.jpg)

Those lifters and cam have about 1 hour of running time on them.

Luckily, with the support of Mr. Raby and my parts supplier, I was able to get out of that mess fairly cheap (parts were replaced gratis), but my labor of rebuilding the whole engine was not fun.

At least I got to bump the C/R up a bit (up to 9.5:1) and do a few other tweaks (while I had it apart, yah know?) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/laugh.gif)

Do it right once. Don't play with a loaded gun.

Especially playing Russian Roulette with a gun loaded only one shell short.

I found the cam....I lied, it is a Engle racing cam brand...
Model FK-10

according to the spec card in the box:

valve lift .500 (intake and exhaust)
running duration 306

gross cam lift 383
lobe centers 108

duration @ .050" is 268

I'll scan the card later on today

I think an FK-10 is a ratio rocker cam (at least it was for a Type I). Probably wouldn't work for me... Let me know if I am wrong.

I have no idea.....all I could think to do is contact Engle and ask if it'll work with stock rocker arms (I was going use the Pauter rocker arms at them time, so you might be correct)
