To help Series9 along, I'm offering ceramic coating services. This is a new process, but it is special only in the fact that it's more shiney (reflective) than those previously availabile .
-6 headers are $250 + shipping. Other pricing by quote. These are the first set, finished for the RS: Attached image(s) |

Looks pretty damn good. I don't know how you're applying this so a couple of questions Joe.
Are the outside AND the inside coated? Can you do 914/6 factory HE's? If so, again, inside and outside of both the exhaust pipes AND the heater boxes? How do you prep the exhaust prior to coating? Do I need to clean up, blast, etc... or is that part of the process and the cost? |

They are first acid dipped, then media blasted.
The coating is sprayed on and then baked at high temp. I could do heater boxes, but there's no way to coat the interior spaces completely. |

Do you coat the inside of the exhaust completely? How much to do a set of factory /6 HEs? |

No, I can't promise the full interior can be coated. I think $250 will cover HE's as well. |

Sorry, I jumped the gun. New stuff is guaranteed for 3 years and used is guaranteed for 1 year. |

Gint,
I would think you wouldn't want to ceramic coat HX's... The ceramic coating would make for pretty poor thermal transfer (that's what it's for after all). Maybe just coat the exterior. Help keep the heat in the HX. But coat inside, and you'll have less heat than before. -Josh2 |

Kinda of a moot point anyway... Back to the garage. The Timesert install went great. What a cool tool/piece. |

I'd be cautious with heat exchangers. I'd want to know that the stuff wouldn't off gas at all.
