I'm bummed I had to miss yesterday, I've been looking forward to meeting you all and it sounded like a great time. Can't wait to get the old beast back on the road, just seems like life keeps getting in the way.

Redline is not a limit, it's the goal.

Mike put on a nice little shindig for us yesterday. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

Brand new gas grille, great burgers & dogs & lot's of free car parts!

Mikes message was " if you need the part take it ,just don't sell it", I left with a trunkload.

Very nice to hang with everyone, Steve's car looks fantastic !

Kelty needs to post some pics , fix my door handle (IMG:style_emoticons/default/poke.gif) & give me back my artichokes!

Thanks for the great afternoon Mike!

Great day out at Mike's. This pic is just a teaser to see if I've got the sizing right.

Attached Image

Note: Greenie's car is falling apart. The door handled just crumbled in my hands. I barely touched it, I swear!

More than a dozen guys and two sawzalls ganging up on one poor teener. Parts and body panels flying in all directions. No new inijuries were reported but there were lots of stories about old wounds. "He who dies with the most scars wins"...that sort of thing.

Here's the engine about to fall. Jeff's pants don't look like they are far behind.

Attached Image

Engine down....pants stayed up. Whew!

Attached Image

Dave apologized to the teener gods before he started cutting.

Attached Image

Once you start cutting it's hard to stop.

Good thing they got tired, this was next in line.

Steve showed up from B.C. after the cutting was over so we had a chance to check out the result of his winter project. Those wheels look awesome.

Attached Image

The oil cooler grill lettering is pretty cool too.

Attached Image

What broken door handle? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) I don't see no broken handle. That's Dave Hunt in his normal position in the background.

Attached Image

Aftermath. The teener is still standing, but it's way lighter!

Great to see everybody on such a gorgeous day. Thanks to Mike for hosting and supplying the entertainment. The parts feeding frenzy was like sharks sensing blood. Good thing he had plenty of empty boxes to fill.

I don't know why greenie would not let us part his car out. All I wanted were his tan seat bottoms. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I'd like to thank Mike for the great day with like-minded folks. It was really great to put more faces with the names. And thanks again Mike for the header. That was the last thing I needed to switch over to the early style SSI HE on my '75 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

Good to meet you Nate, glad you made it down. We really need to make a run up to your neck of the woods - Oak Harbor, Anacortes, etc. Good driving roads up there.

Also, a shout out to James (sportlicherFahrer) who was there for the early part of the day. He's going into the Army soon. Good Luck......and keep your head down! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/aktion035.gif)

Ya, I just swiped the fuel gauge sender so I can stop using the bug unit that's in my car right now. Can actually start using the Porsche gauge again. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Steve,

Sorry I missed you. I had to get home for my daughter's sports banquet. I saw you just as you were getting off on the 38th street exit. Your teener looked great.

Hope to see you soon,

Eddie
