So how do you feel about those roundabouts? I can't believe they're putting roundabouts on a 50mph heavily semi traveled road. I swear they're just looking for ways to waste money and screw up traffic.

Can you guys imagine that on the evenings during the week there has never

any traffic and the only speed limit is the couple of little towns we passed

through some times I heard it said we should be wearing helmets for

the trip. It is a lot of twisty up on the top.

Thank you guys for coming up and spending the day. For those that didn't

make it sorry maybe next time. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/aktion035.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/chowtime.gif)

Accelerated up behind the Miata to pass. By the time I saw the Taurus I was already next to the Miata. Tried to slow to get back in behind him but he braked in time with me. Was just trying to get up there to lead the way since the guy in the S2000 disappeared. Normally you don't want to be passing people and get them in between you and the group you're supposed to be leading... Next time I'll just hold my place in line.

It is frustrating when a slower car is holding up our fun. Passing is tough and generally not worth the risk, thankfully no one got hurt.

Us older guy's have already learned the lesson that you learned yesterday.

Nate is thanking you for your service. (just ask him)

Ya... don't pass when the road lines are missing. Can't tell what's a passing zone and what's not up there at the moment due to the repaving. 2nd lesson. I have to really slow down when I'm driving up there with you guys. Not used to driving with a group up there. Or having anywhere near that amount of traffic on the road. That was the largest number of cars I've seen on the way up in a long time.

Sorry I couldn't make the Baker drive. I had already committed the GLi to the annual SK BBQ. Guess now I'll have to try to make it down south for one now. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/flag.gif)

For those who missed it; you really missed out. Thank you NORD for setting this up and hosting. Perfect weather up here for spirited top-off driving. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)

Next year we really need to make this an overnight thing so we can get two trips up and back (one after 5pm and the following morning early so there's no traffic). My son is already bugging me as to when we can go back and do it again!!

If I'm in Bellingham and not swamped with work or school work, I'm in for whenever. Should be taking my tools back to Bellingham this week to get the teener running again. Had to keep my priorities straight though. The car with heat, defrost, no seal leaks and more passenger space had to be fixed first.
