QUOTE(T wing @ Jul 4 2006, 03:38 AM) *

For a second there I thought that you were talking about B-ham, not B-town. I was starting to get all excited too 'cause I'm moving to Bellingham in a couple of weeks . . . I guess I'll still have to drive out to the peninsula on occasion then.

You are going to be a hamster, eh? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) There are two car clubs up there that do multi make ax somewhere in the hammie area. How kewl whould it be to flood one of their events with 914s?!?!!

I won't have a 914, but might be up for another teener Tuesday. I am still waiting on my headers. But I have my engine back in etc. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Hey, speaking of which, anyone interested in having a get together at my place tomorrow after work? I have the WIERDEST Porsche I have ever owned. Picked it up yesterday for cheap. It's a Cab built in 1976, has fender flares and is a kit car. I have no friggen idea what I am going to do with it, but I had to get it just for the wierd factor.

Wanna know what it is? Have a get together at Root's tomorrow then. I'll fire up the grill. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/chowtime.gif)

Dirrections are easy, only two turns from I-5:

Exit 202 (116th St) Exit - Head East (take a right)

Go through stop light, you'll see a Shell gas on the left

Stay on this road as it goes over speed bumps and around corners

At stop sign - take a right

Count three speed bumps and take a left onto 48th

House is 12229

12229 48th DR NE
Marysville WA 98271

Hopefully see some teeners this afternoon/evening (IMG:style_emoticons/default/chowtime.gif)

I'll grab some meat to toss on the BBQ. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

That was a cool find Jeff, so the super secret mistry car wasn't anything too special, just wierd and wierder as we looked at it more.

It's a 1977 Martini 924. But, it has a steel cab conversion on it. The rear deck is steel, wierd! Same with the fender flares and opening around the rear trunk. Car has a LOT of bondo in it though. Not sure if that was part of the build or fixes over the years?

Michelle checking the title again, what was this? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

The whole story behind how Michelle and I got it was the owner was driving it along and it "stopped going". He got mad, kicked the drivers door shut breaking the glass and slamming the front hood open (to see what was wrong?) cracking the windshield and bending the front hood up. Later on we found out it's nothing more than a stripped rear drum. Car runs pretty dam good.

Jeff checking the 924 as we begin getting it off the trailer.

BTW - that trailer will someday be a real car trailer. I got that for free. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
