Who plans to go to the "All Porsche Car Show" at Triple XXX on April 29th? I just put the engine back in, the car should be ready by then (I hope). Last two years we met at the Mac Donald off I405 Exit 7 at around 9:14 AM.

- Juergen

Since I live 2 minutes up the hill from the I405 Exit 7. meet y'all at the McB's at 9:15. But won't have a 914, they are both sitting without engines.

Well, I don't need reverse lights, anything heater related, and other stuff... I see a lot of wires and only need the ones that go to the tails lights, turn signals, and engine stuff...

Well I think that you would save more weight pulling out the fresh air box all the heater blower equip in the back and all the plumbing bits for the heat. If you get rid of the wiring for the items your talking about you'd be looking at maybe two pounds savings. At most.. And needless to say you may wanna use some of those wires later down the road. Not to sound all negative... What does the car have left as far as oem heavy equipment?

Oh good..I wish I had a wind tunnel... Delete the grating for the cold airbox also... Should reduce overall drag by a very minute amount. I'd never get anything officially done with a wind tunnel.. I'd just spend all day playing with bodywork and wings and so forth... I think your best bet would be to pull up the pelican site and print out the electrical flow diagrams they have for your year and print them out and start crossing off what you want to delete. Then bring it over to my place off 164th and we go over what you can get rid of from the diagram

Alright I admit that I've been reading the Porsche bible too much.... I've been thinking in drag coefficients and frontal areas

May be able to do that by then. Need a nut to get it on the ground. I have the engine on my counter right now but only because I had to pick up a new oil cooler seal in order to finish up with the reseal. Then just needs the valves adjusted and put back in (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) . I may have that done by Tuesday.
