About 6 AM this morning I saw a REALLY nice silver '74 2.0 getting on HWY 16 in Gig Harbor! I don't see you all out too often.
Anyone know who that was?

How was the gathering?

I wish I could have made the event. I was getting my car prepped for a lapping day at Pacific Raceways. It was the first time out to the track with the newly installed Wilwood big brake upgrade.

Cheers,

Eddie

There was only three of us but it was fun (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) The car Garrett found is a really beautiful 914.

How did the brakes do out on the track Eddie?

Jon,

Brakes worked great. The pedal stayed firm through four sessions with nice modulation. Wilwood Superlite calipers and 309mm x 32mm rotors on the front. The rears are still a 911SC setup. I ran the proportioning valve wide open.

Here are some pics (sorry for the "Andy" quality).

I have not made up backing plates to connect the cooling ducts, so the ducts just blow into the wheel wells at this time, but there did not seem to be much fade.

I had fun playing with a 911 GT3 and a 911 996 Turbo, although my car needs more top end acceleration to keep up without pushing too hard. Over 100MPH the 996 Turbo was gapping my Teener for some reason (someone mentioned that it had somewhere around 650HP).

Cheers,

Eddie

We should be driving our Teeners on a this very nice Tuesday evening. It might even be rigorous enough to warrant refreshments!

Man you north enders just keeping pulling us from the south farther and farther up.

I've just learned I might have to work late on Wednesday.... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

So it now depends on where and when on Wednesday. I've got drive time from Auburn.

Last time I checked, Carnation is closer to you than it is to any of us. You could simply meet them there (IMG:style_emoticons/default/poke.gif)
