Anyone interested in attending the NW Toy Run on Sunday Dec !st? This year the goal is 4,500 cars. Your only cost is a $5.00 toy or the cash. Starts at 11:00 at Pacific Raceways. Maybe we could grab breakfast that morning and go as a group.

Tentatively planning on meeting with PNWR currently. It would be cool if we got enough 914's to show up in force though...

Join us this SUNDAY for an informal Porsche parade to the Toy Run. We’ll be meet]ing atCedar Park in Renton at 10, leaving at 10:15. Be sure to bring a new toy or $5 cash.

Expect a line to get into Pacific Raceways, so pee before you leave....

I’m looking for a machine shop to go through a set of 1.8 heads. Has anyone here in the PNW used or has experience with German Motor Werks in Damascus Oregon?
Thanks,
Jsaum

Mostly budget reasons, I’m doing a first time air cooled type 4 build and plan on doing a top end on the 1.8 that’s currently in the car. I have a new set for that build a 1911. I also have another short block built up with a webcam 86 for another 1911. I have a set of dellorto 36’s that need going through that I’ll use. I’ve built other engines in the past this is my first try at air cooled engines. Eventually I want to build a 2056 and run an L jet.

Sounds fun! I am also starting to look at going through some engine work as I think I just lost a lobe on my cam a couple weeks ago. Luckily it held together through the summer for all the local tours and events.

Our PCA region is hosting a tech session on Jan 25 from 9-12 on radar detectors and jammers. The members can invite guests to join in. This will be 2 hours of class and an hour of hands on work with equipment. I’m signed up but I can still add some guests. If you’d like to come along let me know. It will be held in Kirkland.

Nothing downtown is friendly for parking. Last time I parked in a lot on First Ave between Pike and Pine it was $22 an hour

There is a great Cars and Coffee at 10:30 every Sunday at Madrona Park a block north of Leschi. It would be fun to swarm.

This Saturday Pacific Raceways is having a open house with donuts from 9-12. It the driving school that is actually putting it on. Rain will likely slow down the attendance but I may try to get there. I need to warm up the oil in my car anyways.
