PNW's,
After almost 10 years without a 914, I bought one! I couldn't locate one of my old ones, so had to venture out to source a new to me 914. It's a 1975 194-6 with 2.7. I'll pick it up in mid March. I'm back! |

We moved to San Juan Island. It was supposed to be our retirement property, but we decided to just make the move early.
My daily driver is a 66' Bug. 914-6 is in CA and I'm super excited to pick it up! The next month will be painfully waiting to collect my new toy, but just don't have the time to do it any earlier. |

Is this the tease to a good story? Nah, there's not much to tell. We've been consumed by the House build which is looking to be in it's final year. After looking things over, there's enough for me to pick up a toy. It didn't take me long to start looking at 914's. I really wanted a converted six so I wouldn't be afraid to put miles on it. Can't wait to hear the flat six behind my head again. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) |

Here's a picture of the house. The living space is only 1,000SQFT, but it's just Michelle and I so plenty of room. The living space is a 2nd floor on the back side of the hangar.
We're still living in our little trailer while we continue to work on the living space. We're doing it all ourselves = slow, but saves huge bucks. Attached thumbnail(s) |

There's some discussion going on behind the curtain about a tour from the north for those attending WCR this year. So far, I only see myself and maybe Rich coming from Washington. Just wondering if anyone else is thinking of going. Personally, I was thinking it would be a great adventure, but Julie said she didn't want to spend 10 days in my car.
Not to take away from the SoCal gathering, but for those that can't attend, I will be doing another 914Turnout in September. The dates are 9/18-19. Still working on details, but I think I have a great speaker and an interesting tech session in the works. |

Been thinking about it. The car can do it, but I'm not sure I can arrange the time off, family details, etc.
Attending another 914Turnout is a given. Had a great time last year. |

Deb would have no part of that, however. Maybe a riding mechanic? Also the Werks Reunion Monterey is August 14. About the same drive, but a one day event. |

A local 914 summer event would be best held east of the Cascades. Quincy area is central and the secondary roads are pretty much wide open. Like Skate Creek Rd in Thurston county with even less traffic.
