pca Akers June 14 only 12 spots left..

Great event. Pacific Northwest Region's Judged Concours d'Elegance at Denny Aker's Workshop. The Concours will pull great Porsches and you also get to see Denny's incredible collection of Porsches and other classics and memorabilia. I've entered and will also be judging (but not my own car, of course). Sign-up for concours entries and other attendees is on the PNWR website and we'd love to see more 914s there.

I’ll be there manning the PCA membership display. The brats they serve at lunchtime are the best. John boils them in beer for hours the day before and then grills them just before serving. Hoping it doesn’t rain again this year

A really nice and friendly event. Hope to make it this year. Missed last. Took over odd cars in previous years.

Sunday is the PCA beer party at Watts Brewery in Woodinville. If you can make it, come by my tent and help me plan out our 9/14 event this year. You don’t need to be a member to join the fun.

I thought that place closed. Are they still doing car meet-ups?

As BurgerMaster, yes. Haven't been to one for years, but looking forward to hopefully attending something soon. Just brought my 914 home from the storage hangar yesterday. Been a while since I've driven it.

Thinking about dropping in on Sunday to check it out. Hopeful that the change in ownership has been a good one!

Looks like I’ll be able to make the Issaquah meetup. Hope to see some fellow teeners there.

If there are any plans for a meetup or cruise, please let me know. I was out of town and wasn’t able to get to the event at Burgermaster or Watt’s Brewing but am excited to meet fellow local 914 owners. I’d be happy to help organize something too.

Sunday morning is the C&C at Bellevue Porsche. There's also a social at Bay Master's Garage in Bothell. I'm not going to make that one, but its open to everyone. No need to be in the PCA

I didn't know that place existed. Prices aren't bad considering what you get and as long as you can work quickly. I'm afraid if I ever went there and used the lift that I'd never want to crawl under my car again (not that I like doing it now...).
I'm going to try and stop by the Sunday social since it's pretty close by.

My 9/14 weekend plans are almost ready to publish. Presently, the fun will begin on Saturday 9/13 immediately after the PNW party for PCA’s 70th anniversary is over. That would be between 11:00 and noon. If you want to join the PCA function it’s open to everyone and will be held at Hagerty’s One Driver Club in Redmond. The plans for what they will be doing should be released tonight and I’ll fill you in when I know what’s going on. Our 914 activity will begin at that facility and will begin withan afternoon drive. I’m working on making the tour into a gimmick rally. You really need two people in the car to be competitive as answering questions while driving can be challenging. You can always just join in the drive and ignore the questions. Let me know your option of including the gimmick part of the drive. We’ll end the tour at a pizza place.

Sunday morning we’ll have a pancake breakfast at my neighborhood’s community center in Orting. It has plenty of room for everyone and the parking is plentiful. I’m putting together a presentation with a special guest and there will be a question and answer segment. The presentation will be over the internet. I could use some help with the tech part of this endeavor if anyone out there has experience in this world. Next we’ll be doing a tour to Wynoochee Dam in near Montesano. The drive there will be on back roads and promises to be an exercise in making corners. When we arrive there will be an afternoon picnic. We can either have food provided or everyone can bring their own. Again, express your opinion. I’d like to collect a small enrollment fee to help cover costs and if I’m providing the picnic lunch, I’ll account for that when I calculate the amount. As always feedback helps. If you don’t plan to attend, your 2 cents doesn’t count. Hope to see many of my old friends.
