Even though my car is a lowly Chalon, I wanted to share the air dam project I worked on the last two weekends. I got the inspiration for a front shelf and side winglets from this pic of the Miura prototype. My car often gets light in the front end at high speeds and this looked like a way to keep some of the air from rolling off the bottom of my front bumper and under the car which creates lift. Here's was the inspiration:

OK, I started with a flat sheet of .063 aluminum, traced my outline and cut with a dremel.

I extended a flat pan to clean up the underside at the front. This also keeps the air that is exiting my oil cooler from being dumped under the car. It now is funneled to the sides and exits at the front of the wheel wells which is a low pressure area.

Here is the full car with the new dam. Kind of reminds me of a locomotive. I'm thinking of naming the car Loco Motion!

I'ts too bad you don't have access to a wind tunnel. Or you can dab your finger in some painit and make a bunch of little dots all along the spoiler, go out right away and drive it at speed. When you get home you can see the direction of the air flow along the spoiler. Might be a fun experiment. Your car looks great.

I think your design looks better on a Chalon than it would on a stock bodied car.
