Awesome find! What is with all these sites that won't let you download and save the videos? Is there a way to save these types of videos to disk?

sure, but they make you work at it, so you'll think it's easier to just bookmark the site and come back, to see the latest ads by which they hope to get rich and play with their Ferraris ...

here's the basics...

make yourself a local webpage - just a Notepad file with .htm extension. go to the supplied link, then use your browser's "view page source". IE used to have it on a right-click (i haven't used IE in a couple years...), Firefox has it under "View". look for the "embed" tag to find the URL of the actual clip. copy that out and add it to your own page, thusly. that will play the selected video when you click it. then use (for instance) MediaPlayer's "save as" to save the file.

here's how that link looks on my local little internal webpage:

CODE
<A HREF="http://www.car-vids.com/Videos/mkeg_Carrera GT with AWE Straightpipes.wmv">cgt</A><BR>

interestingly, AWE is in Willow Grove, not that far from here, and they're a big supporter of local PCA and Audi club activities. i'm sure their neighbors *love* them :-)
