I ordered a rebuilt AFM from Pelican and got a message saying that they have not yet found a source for one. I am very impatient and when I order something, I don't like to wait for it. Does anyone have a source for a good rebuilt AFM that will ship immediately? I think I can cancel my order with Pelican as long as it hasn't shipped yet.

There are two different versions... one for '74 and one for '75.

Performance Products has them available.

Performance charges over twice the price as Pelican for the rebuilt one. I can learn patience for that price.

I just went through the same thing. Most VW places will have a connection to a shop that rebuilds these. I gave them a old core and got what looks like a brand new AFM back for $175
I have their phone # at work; PM if you still need it
