Tihs is bcuseae we do not raed ervey lteter by it slef but the wrod as a wlohe. it werks ... somewhat related, they did a similar study a while back where they took a sentence and first cut off the upper 3rd of the letters, then 2/3 then 1/2 then 3/4 then 4/5 .... you get the idea. then they had 2 groups of people trying to read it, the first group was sober, the second was on speed. guess what, the guys that were on speed could still read the stuff fluidly that was cut down by 4/5 (1/5 of the letters remaining), the guys that were sober had to quit at 1/2 ... not sure what that means for life as we know it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) Andy |
