I am getting ready to start my first hell hole repair on my 1971 1.7l. I suspect I will have to do work on the hell hole, some of the longs, right rear suspension and some of the floors.

I know a number of people offer panels for the areas I will need to deal with but what are the differences? or are there any? In my looking around I have found panels by Automobile Atlanta, Pelican Parts, Restoration Hardware, Mid-America and Engman. I know that engman's parts are unformed sheet metal, but what about the rest? Are they all made by the same company and sold by the various vendors? Is there a difference in quality between them? Do some fit better than others? Have any of them been modified from the original design? Is there anything I should lookout for?

I know some people have had problems dealing with certain companies but I'd like to put that aside for the time being and talk about the parts themselves.

Thanks for the help,

I got some parts from restoration designs, and as far as i know they are a metal stamping place so they manufacture their own. I got battery tray , batery support and rear half of the floor pan along with a few misc. peices and they were very good quality!

Mark is correct, Restoration Designs is the source for most of the stamped replacement parts. Engman makes his own pieces that are designed to do a slightly different job than the reproductions.
