I really want to end up with a car I can depend on, that just happens to be 30 years old.

Not a 30 year old car that I drive that I *HAVE* to depend on....

Britt, I think you should try to fix it. You will learn a lot by doing so. Sounds like Grasshopper is ready and able to help. I can maybe get a rotisserie to loan to you. I used it on my car and then sold it to a local guy. Sounds like fun.

well Doug Leggins has a rotisserie that he said we could all use...

Maybe i'll ask him. Supposedly it has a hitch attachment (maybe i'm making it up)

maybe there's a way to do it without taking everything off and putting it on a rotisserie?

Might be able to do the work on jack stands. I know its a lot of work to put the car on a rotisserie. But its like night and day when it comes to welding.

Im not the best welder but maybe Grasshopper like welding upside down. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

What's more interesting to you: fixing cars, or driving cars?

There's your answer. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)
