Where the Mahle wheels that were'nt color coded to the bumble bees and others, painted silver or left natural? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)

Natural, not painted. But Wurth Silver paint does a believable job of matching the original finish if you do need to paint them.

I believe the Mahle's were all painted. There was a blue primer coating of some type on the wheel and silver painted on the complete wheel. The warranty on 914's was 12 months and 20,000 miles (I think?) I remember a guy wanting Porsche to refinish the Mahle's on his '75 2.0 during warranty. I removed them and they were sent to a body shop for paint. Jeez, that WAS a long time ago! Brad Mayeur
