Where on the chassis is your engine bar gonna mount to?
Do you think you will have any cantilever problems? Are you gonna make copies for sales to club members? Not gonna use subaru tranny - darn : ) Nice job - looking forward to other comments. http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?act=...2&t=31579&st=40 Jim Hey all, just finished the motor mount for my EJ20T conversion. Looking good, are yoou going to use solid mounts all around? If so looks like it is ready to go. Bumpning the engine forward was also a good idea to provide that clearence. Can't wait to see how you solved the cooling issue, Front trunk like I am thinking, thou I hate to do it.

The stock motor mount bar locations. 2 bolts on each side. Do you think you will have any cantilever problems? Possibly, I hope that the 1/4" steel and solid mounts will prevent most movement. Are you gonna make copies for sales to club members? I would if I had the time. Its really easy and I am going to provide some measurements so anyone can copy the design. If you have a welder and a right angle grinder you can do this. |

[/quote] Thanks as it will be a total PITA for me to get me car on jack stands and level and then get engine in there on some sort of stand levela nd even to design my own mount. With you engine mount I should be able to knock out a subaru tranny mount alot easier - thanks. Jim |
