Yep, that was Wilt, I think he needs a long wheel base 914 to fit him. One of the vids on the site didn't have sound, but when i closed it and opened it back up, the sound worked.

.......ahhhh, that " 70s show"! The hair! The hats! The shirts! The bulky cameras! Nothing like it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
That celebrity race kinda previews the concept of the IROC series that came along a few years later when it was run with the 911RS. That was followed much later with the various "Cup" car (Ferrari and Porsche) series events. As usual, the 914 was a pioneer in yet another area, and was never able to fully benefit from it. Oft times, the pioneer or trendsetter is not appreciated or recognized by their contemporaries, and only after the passage of time is the accomplishment, contribution, or significance appreciated. The 914 is one such example. |

That clip is from the show, "Once Upon a Wheel". We've discussed it before. Nice find on the youtube link though.
Old thread... 'nuther linky... ..and yet another... ...still more...!!!!!! That's it, I'm done. There are probably more. But by now you have an idea what to search for to find them. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) |

Can't remember who now, but someone here on the board has the Wilt image as his avatar.
Looks like he would get stuck if he tried to get any farther in. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) Attached image(s) |
