My geabox mounts appear to be goosed, I have a pair of 911 engine mounts sitting and have heard people say they use them a gearbox mounts, will they work?

Yes, they will work just fine. I use them on my 914/6. In fact that is what Porsche used on the original 914/6 to handle the additional horsepower.
