The local paper (The News Gazette) has a roll call of those who sacrificed their lives from Champaign County, IL. They listed the various wars/conflicts and those who were lost. Here are the numbers:
Iraq: 4 Vietnam: 37 Korean: 16 World War II: 176 World War I: 41 Numbers speak. Our prayers and thanks are with everyone who has served or is serving. Our special prayers and thanks are for those who lost their lives or were wounded protecting the rest of us. Mike and Shelley |
