I want to refinsh that piece of tin. can it be taken off with the engine in the car? its the part that the throttle bottle attaches to and the accelrator cable attaches.
If so are the screws obvious?

The throttle body attaches to the intake plenum, not the cooling tin. You have to remove the injection system more or less complete to get the plenum out.

Sounds like you are talking about the intake plenumn.

It can be done with the motor in the car IIRC. You'll have to pull the air cleaner, all the hoses and intake runners. If you pull the throttle body off of it you'll have to make a replacement gasket as they are nla...
