I'm looking at getting a new cage for my car. Anyone have pictures of diagrams of the various options we have on our cars? I would especially like to see pictures of the mounting points in the front (through the firewall) and the rear (through the back window) as well as the cross bracing. If I get a proper cage made could I remove the rear trunk floor for easier access to the transmission? Is that recommended?

check my site,

http://www.synthesisdv.com/vg/

we just finished the cage build etc.

don't forget to check your rulebook re what is allowed. We ran our rear bars through the window but our vintage group would not allow us to tie into the suspension pickups so we went to the inner wheelhouse.

also check brad's site, he has lots of 914 cage builds.

Hey Solo,

First... FILL IN YOUR LOCATION!!!
(go to "my controls" at the top of the page and take it from there)

Either check Brad's site www.all914.com or Tony C's site (he's the guy that build Brad's cages) www.tcdesignfab.com

cheers,

Jeroen
