Before I ruin something any tips for getting that cylinder out. I have my wheel off and the turn sig. switch assy. I can pull the cylinder out so far but I can't depress that spring keeper on the cylinder. If I can depress it will it come straight out? Thanks.

You should be able to pull these out without the key. I'm looking at Pelican's but my '76 doesn't look like the article.

I got the cylinder out. There are two different cylinders. I'm going to re-key the existing cylinder.

Couldn't re-key it so I modified the 70-71 cylinder I bought for $5.
This is what I am installing after maching the switch engagement drive.
Notice how I had to drill a hole to get the old cylinder out, no fun. Also the tumbler I could re-key is shown.
