Took the cone dancer out yesterday for it's first auto-x event and gave it a good shakedown. The engine pulled nicely for it's 230 lbs of torque, and the rear can just about rotate at will. This was everybit the slot car that I remembered from years past! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/piratenanner.gif) The car has a starting point comp alignment and cornerweighted.
The initial settings got me in the ballpark, and the leftover Kuhmo's are working overtime. (I'm not over driving either)So my next step is too tighten (stiffen) the front roll bar a bit to help with mid corner pwr transfer, and I HAVE to get some bigger Hoosiers .... dreaming. My times ended up mid pack with the SS class Elise/Vettes, so I'm stoked for a first outing. Attached image(s) |
