of course you can buy 10,000 rpm AutoMeter tachs all day long.
i haven't seen a 10k VDO tach on anything but a Porsche factory race car for a long time.

i guess it's impressive if you have an engine that'll actually spin over the "usual" 8000 rpm tach, but i'd rather have improved resolution in the rev ranges i actually use...

if this tach has some factory race car 'provenance' it'd be one thing, but North Holywood Speedo and Palo Alto Speedo will recalibrate an ordinary VDO tach for any rev range you want, and make you a nice new silkscreen face too.
