I was in Portland on Business last week and walking near I believe SW Stark and SW Broadway I saw, parked on the street, what I believe was a 1963 Jack Griffith TVR "Griffith200". I was in a rush so couldn't spend to much time drooling, but it was absolutley amazing. Sorry, I didn't have a camera, so no pictures (I know, this post is worthless without pictures). I just can't put into words how fine this car looked. It couldn't have looked newer the day it was built. Everything on the car was absolutely sparkling. It was black with a very broad white center stripe sporting the sillouette of a large griffin on the hood. Anyone from the Craig Laughlin/JPIII neck of the woods ever encounter this car before? It definitely hits the top 5 all-time coolest cars I've ever seen.
Here is a picture of a similar car, but the one I saw makes this one look like a steaming dog turd. -Ben ps - This was the first TVR I've seen in person. Wow, they are small! Attached image(s) |
