i'm hearing a bit of intake lifter tick on the 1-2-3 bank, thinking i ought to check valve adjustments and correct as necessary before the year's last few track events. ALA i have the intake covers off i'd like to mount the spark plug holddowns i bought earlier. was thinking of using the same size stud as the exhaust covers - 999.062.010.02 - 8x35mm.

i see in the latest run of Brad's engine pictures he's got the holddowns...

are there any half-height Nylon sealing nuts to attach the rocker covers and the holddowns ? i need to use the shortest stud that will work due to very tight clearance with the tub in that area. or - clearance might not be an issue if i can mount the hold-downs from the upper row of studs - does that work ?
