The wheels/tires are from a 2003 911. They're 17x9 245s in the rear and 17x7 205s in the front. The tires are good enough to get me on the road, but I expect to replace them soon after it's up and running......which I hope is soon!

Ah, the super cool 996 Carrera 4 narrow-body 17s.

Also super rare because most C4 buyers opted up for 18s.

I love these wheels, the first "Oh, yeah -- remember the Fuchs?" by the Porsche styling department. Then came the C-GT, late GT3/GT2, 986 IIs, and base Cayman S wheels. Still love these, though...

Nice pick!!!!

Someone had asked for pics of the mirror bases, so here's a couple of shots. I just mounted the mirrors and I'm pretty happy with them. Still need to figure out the wiring though.

Put the front suspension together this weekend. Decided on Elephant Racing poly-bronze bushings. They seem well made and were pretty easy to install. We'll see how they work??

Last one..........decided to mount the DME unit in the rear trunk. The way the 3.6 harness is laid out, it seemed to fit really well here. I mounted it on 1" standoffs to allow air to flow all around it and to keep heat transfer from the trunk floor to a minimum.

Oops, forgot a couple pics. I made stainless fuel lines and installed them. They're both 3/8" and are one piece from tank to to rear firewall. Also finished the oil lines:

Put the rear trunk lid on and mounted the gas shocks.
